dizzy lines up
It seems like an electrical problem but I bet there is more to it. Gonna strip the block and head and see what I find

I had trouble changing my dist to obd1 despite what the diagrams said about color coded wires... Best way to be 100% sure is to check continuity from each wire on the dist harness to each pin on the ecu

why are you suspecting damage in the motor just the water leak?

I say compression/leakdown before you start the hard work

uh, bad idea to pull a motor w/o any conclusive evidence that theres something mechanically wrong. if your compressions 210 across the board, than you probably dont have a cracked head or blown hg. do a leakdown test to be sure, you will hear the pressure leak into the coolant and bubble out he rad cap if its a leak in the cylinders.

sounds to me like your dizzy might be wired wrong or just bad. also, main relay, grounds and clogged fuel system are some other possibilitys

have you actually pulled the plug wires and determined if your getting fire at all?

has the car ever ran after you did all this work to it? or did it run for a while and take a dump?. double check for the ground on the t-stat houseing, alot of people miss this one and its vital for the injection system.

not to add my stupidity to the equation but did you make sure the rotor screw is in the dizzy shaft . iv had 2 cars do it to me now.:1 the car sound like its trying to start and gives a fire every couple of turns.Try checking the plugs on the block and see if there getting spark hope that helps.

car hasnt ran since I swapped in the new b16
I get increadibly strong blue spark.
I will change the wire harness today.
What bothers me is that the water disappears. Gonna have to pull the head I guarantee it but well start with the wires.

i had the same problem kind of and it was my dizzy wiring but i went from obd0 to obd1. if i were u i would first
1. start with a compression test
2.check if your getting spark
3. check for fuel
then go from there and double check wires becuase if your getting fuel, compression and spark i gaurantee that ur firing spark at the wrong times.
