injector question on a ls/vtec
ok I am in the process of getting my ls/vtec to run right again after the rebuild. it is all broke in now and I am having tunning issues with it. does anybody know what the max hp you can run on stock obd2 injectors from a 97 dx I belive these are 240's this is a all motor setup. I am running a vafc and it seems that not matter how hight I set the correction It doen't make a difference the timing is curently really retarded due to dodging det. any ideas what I can do to tune this better and what is the max hp on a setup 240's NA all the way.

Are you using a wideband to tune? how do you know its not making a difference? alot of people put adj pressure regulators on the fuel rail so you can bump pressure up to get the max out of the little 240's.

no i am not running a wideband but if the car is at idle and I adjust the vafc at 1k to 50% + car runns no different and I can't smell any fuel in the exaust usually you can smell the unburned you know what i mean this still smells the same. I know not the most acurate form and also when I adjust it in the higher rpms there is no power difference. I was just wondering if 200 to 210 whp would more then max the injectors out or not

dx obd2 injectors = d16y7 right?

well come to think of it I might have the ex vtec injectors I thinks I swaped them over from my mini me they were from a 98 ex so I should have 240's either way I think. anyways I was just wondering basicly has anybody tuned with these injectors and what will the supports at the wheels. like I said this engine should be pulling down around 200+ whp any NA guys out there help

well finaly got around to putting in a new fuel filter seems to have helped a bit but still now quite there.

you need to check your afc wiring. When i was n/a if i went -32 on the fuel at idle, the engine died. If i went +37 (i think... i cant remember now though, the engine stumbled and died. I think you might have it wired in wrong.

I doubt it but then again jake did wire it in pretty quick before the meeting one night so lol I am not so sure we will see tonight at the track how she does times to come and hopefully no breaks tonight can't handle that again

when i had stock injectors the afc +- 50 didnt do anything noticable
or maybe it did but who knows for sure without a wideband |
