Info on swapping h22 into 92-95 civic
im planning to buy a jdm h22a and i was wondering if anybody know where i can find some good info on how to swap it into a 92-95 civic dx, the engine is complete w/ 5-speed tranny, JDM harness & ECU, sensors that are still attached to the engine, axles & power steering pump. I am also purchasing a set of Enjo H-Series motor mounts. So what do you think, is this swap a complete swap or will i need more stuff?
The price is currently at $1,980+shipping which will be around $200-300 (business area)

what axles do you have? i would recomend doing the wiring befor you put the motor in. wiring is a bitch but the swap is worth it.you will be doing a little cutting and welding to make everything work. 94 civic sedan h22a

http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=650329 Here's some more info. All you need are 90-91 integra axles and 90-93 accord intermediate shaft. In the ebay auction it doesnt say anything about the shifter assembly. So you'll also need that. Either get 91-up accord shifter assembly or 94-up prelude shifter assembly. Since you are purchasing enjo mounts then your pretty much set. Wiring isnt too bad. Just lay your civic wiring harness and the h22 wiring side by side.
Then you just cut and lengthen couples of wires. Other than that you'll have to cut your floor board to accomodate the shifter assembly and reroute it to your tranny. If you need more info just hit us back up

it requires the accord or prelude shift linkage, custom mounts. and u need to cut an ear off of the tranny mount in order for it to fit. yeah u have to cut where your original shifter is to fit the accord/prelude shifter box ----. whatever its called heh. and u have to cut a hole in the floor to bring the cables for the shifter up. honestly in my own experience. ive done two. well me and my cuzzin. one in a 92 civic hatch and a 94 integra. pretty easy swap. especially in a civic. oh yeah and u need to extend wires like the wires for the alternator. its easy when u have the motor out and your harness out. its a piece of cake mang

not to be an -------... but if you think really hard, I bet you can find 100 better ways to spend your money than on an h22 swap... i bet if you search this site, you'll find out how to make your car just as fast with 1/3 less money & 1/3 less headaches... just my 2 cents

I too am doing this swap {jdm h22a)in my EK
I ordered my motor from http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/ and it came with pretty much everything...
- Motor
- Hydraulic Tranny
- ECU (P13)
- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shifter Cables
- Shifter Assembly
- Stock Motor Mounts *
- Alternator
- Starter
- Clutch
- Flywheel
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Distributor
- Engine Harness
- Comes With All Sensors Needed
- LSD Tranny
- Hasport motor mounts
I also had to get 90-90 integra axles and 90-90 manual accord intermediate shaft. For the EG wiring there is a ton of info on http://www.honda-tech.com/ and http://www.hondaswap.com/
It will be interesting to see how these turn out! My motor should be here on wed and will be hopefully be putting it in as soon as I get my rods and pistons...
I know I haven't even recieved my motor yet, but I reccommend you to go with a seller that you know will sned you a quality motor No sense speding that kind of money and getting a piece of ----! you know?
As far as the H22 goes, my friend had one in his EG with a 75 shot and he hit 11's with just intake and slicks... Not bad for if you ask me
I wish you the best of luck and hopefully we'll be able to help eachother out quite a bit!

One more thing.... I just checked out that auction and I would definately NOT buy from that seller! He hasn't sold or bought one thing before and he doesn't even accept paypal! Seems VERY shady to me... Go with someone you know will deliver quality!
The seller doesn't even give you an estimate of the mileage and you can get the same thing WITH a warrenty from http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/ just try to be careful
