Default I'm new need help

i did a search and i didnt find anything if this is in the wrong spot i apoligize. well anyway i have a honda civic 93 ex with the d16z6 i was woundering if its possiable to swap in a 6th gen d16y8 dohc and if so what do i need to do to make it fit. thanks for the help

I think the only difference is the intake and the head design. You get a few more ponies out of the intake and not much out of the head. In my opinon leave it like it is. just boost it.

well, when they make a dohc d16y8, we'll let you know. hehe.
but for the sohc, it is possible. what from the y8? tranny, block, head?

yea my bad about the dohc i dont know what i was thinking im just gonna boost it with a t3

y8's are the worst d series motor ever made. Bad oil pump design causes bearing failure. I have done a number of swaps in stock cars that had less than 120k with bad bearings.
