So back a few years ago, i tried upgrading my ignition coil from internal to external. I bought the dist cap, coil pack and such. wired it all up and stuff and it worked great for that nite, next day some how the inssulation off the wires got exposed under the car from my rewiring and it hit the distrubitor and fucked up my car, blew fuese, would stop my car from running and blah blah blah. so i think that ruined my coil pack and i ended up putting the oem internal coil back in. OK now i want to give it another try, I was thinking going MSD, but did i do the wiring correct and just use shitty wires? also should i upgrade to a cdi ignition or no?

 

Get the MSD compact car version deal.

Do all you’re wiring over again with solder connections and heat shrink tubing.

Replace anything else that you fried.
