IACV Problem.... code 14, 1500 Idle, running out of ideas.
ok, so i just got done installing a skunk 2 intake manifold right... well now i am throwing cel 14... IACV. ok, when i start it up, it idle around 1000-1100 cold, and when it is at operating temp.. its up to 1500... wtf.
and i have noticed on my way home the other day i would drive... push the clutch in and just let it idle and it was just jumping at 1400-1500.
ok, so now here is what i have tried... i replaced the IACV with one i had, and it is doing the same thing, still thowing a code. i have 2 plugs that i tried (black/blue and yellow/black... i think this is IACV PLUG) and i have a plug with wires Red and Yellow Black and i think that is for my evap purge sol... but i am not using one, i took it off because it was broken. NOTE: THIS IS A 95 CIVIC EX WITH A GSR TURBO.
now i tired hooking both up, and unplugging them, and there was no change in the way the idle acted. the only way i could get it to change was when i pluged up the hole in the TB for the IACV when it was moderatly warm, but not at operating temp. with the whole plugged up.. it was holding a steady 950 rpm idle
i dont have a vaccume leak im sure, but i am thinking i might have a small one where the TB is since i am using a the stock gasket. i read on the IACV THREAD that someone changed the TB gasket and it fixed his problem.
ive tried to clean it out, replacing it, plugging and unplugging the plugs and there was no change in idle. i check the pins on my ecu and they all look like they are connected.
thanks for any help.

theres a vac leak between the TB/intake manifold and IACV.
check the TB gasket for leaks using whatever carb spray or something. also check the o-ring around the IACV inlet/outlet.

just tightened the TB bolts... and now all it does is just idle at 1300-1500 and serges really fast now. i tried to spary carb cleaner on the top on the tb (cant get to the bottom easily and its late). tomorrow im gonna let it warm up, and see if im low on coolant and run to autozone or something for a new tb gasket.
before it would just idle at 1500... now it just kinda serges and cant find a spot to stay at. also is the black/blue and yel/blk the IACV PLUG??
thanks again

yeah it looks kinda worn out, but i think it still does the job.
i dont know why it would go from a steady 1500 idle to a surging 1300-1500 idle now...
