i need a quick fix jsut to get home....how can a fix my IACV without changing it

 

why will it not let you drive? i know you can drive home with it pulsing up and down, ---- i drove like that for a month

you could clean it out with brake cleaner or some other type of cleaner, or i guess you could just unplug the sensor

 

cut a coke can into a square (about the size of a IACV), loosen the bolts, stick the can over the holes, tighten it(so the can blocks the IACV), and bam. your done. i drove like this for a loooooonnnnnggggg time.

 

What about the wires?

 

keep them there.
just do what i said. you just need to plug it up.

ok so i tried the pop can trick...it didn't work....what happens iswhen i'm driving the throttle has to be full or not at all....
otherwise it stutters like crazy...i have a CEL code 14 which is IACV??

I'm getting very frustrated any other ideas guys?

 

get another one from ebay or some ----, or clean it out.

 

i'm trying the one off of mrs.spoon's car...seems to be working so far....but its only held in by one bolt...they are alittle diiferent
