The manifold i have doesnt stop anyboost, i have boosted 25+ psi a couple times. spools like a mother.

25 psi +??? Thats alot man, is yur engine stock?
Now I dont kno alot bout turbos, but I've looked at a bunch of turbo manifolds, and none of em come close to lookin like the thing youve got on yur engine. You must of heard of cylinder pulses, cuz i did, and with the set up you got, the whole concept is ignored. I mean, youve got two of your cylinders going straight into each other. It may spool like a mother, but i think if you put a real manifold on it, it will spool like a BIG motha. and what that piece of vacuum tube lookin thing goin into your intake manifold? Isn't that supposed to be a hardline?

Re:I want to turbocharge my accord, need help

The manifold ihave is called a Log manifold, they work just fine. and i ran 25+ psi on a stock engine. The "vacume" thing that is on the intake is a flexable charge pipe. ill let it go for 500 now because i just got a new car and it needs an engine. woowooooooo (93 cx hb)

How many milles did u have on your stock engine? was it rebuilt in order to handle the power increase? And explain to me what a Log manifold is? do you have other parts from your accord that you are selling?

dude, seriously, do some research. you should buy the kit for 500, that's a steal. this is homemadeturbo, not greddyturbo website, almost everyting on here looks like crap, people that aren't professional welders make their own manifold, that's why the look like that, anyways, your asking some silly questions, just read the site some more. you do NOT have to build your engine to boost it. you should buy his kit for 500

Re:I want to turbocharge my accord, need help

True true, manifolds are manifolds i guess, but I want to know why you are selling this kit so cheap?? I mean, 500$ is not alot compared to some other used kits i've seen. what does it have? or not have???
P.S. My engine has 221596 km on it. Now u kno why i am concerned about it self destructing in a few months cuz put a turbo on it! Thanks for the replies tho guys, i appreciate it, Chris.

oh, well that's a different story. either way, you can turbo it, it will prolly last a little while at low boost, then if it blows up, just get a new one, you can pick up a long block for fairly cheap (be sure to get one with lower miles ;) )

Hold on hold on. Did you say you boosted 25 psi on the stock motor? HAHA either you wanted to blow it right then or your boost gauge was way off. I have a boosted 93 accord and there is no way it would handle 25 psi on any day without some bottom end work done. The rods would go before you could say "oh ----... my engine is broke"

Re:I want to turbocharge my accord, need help

yes 25 + psi, it was going off my gauge, (i took the wastegate line off) it was fun as ----, but yes i did blow my engine. but it was faasssttt

Re:I want to turbocharge my accord, need help

I'm not an turbo expert, in fact, my car doesn't have turbo(not yet ;D) but i have been geeting some info and appears you can put a turbo without rebuilt the engine at 9 psi max. And getting more info 9 psi incrase aprox in 40 the hp.

Can somebody tell me if exists a table with the psi-hp relationship?
