i need some help...:)

ok...my setup is as follows. t3 tubro custom setup blah blah...my managment is dsm 390s with a turboedit map...my car idles great but when i hit the gas it bogs down real hard and then revs to 3k and basically hits a limiter. its through 2 codes. 4 and 7...4 is the crank angle sensor and 7 is the tps. i also did the mpfi swap so thats where i thought i went wrong. i double checked my wires and the c1 is going to blue green and c2 is going to blue yellow just like its suppose to. and i swapped the wires on the tps like it was said to. i really have no clue whats going on.

***note, when i started the swap, i didnt have the si ecu or distirubtor. my friend tried starting the car without the Crankle angle sensor wires hooked up. it didnt start, but would that have messed anything up?.

any clues as to what might be wrong. i have checked and double checked my wiring. seems to be just the way its suppose to.

any help is great

4- Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
90-98 88-98 97-98 88-91 93-97 95-98 85-98
CKP Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

7- Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
85-98 86-98 97-98 85-91 93-97 95-98 85-98
TP Sensor (Throttle Position)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

could the sensors and or plugs be bad? another note...when i put the stock ecu back in it only threw the Crank angle sensor code...wierd

i'd try two things

1. switch the wires on the tps again.
2. are there two white wires on the dist, sometimes those need swapping and it'll work.

is that an automated reply? you give the same reply for every person that has a problem with an mpfi swap

common mistakes thats all. and those are "free" fixes. so they're worth a try.. gotta rule things out y0.

ok that didnt work man...when i swapped the two white wires it wouldnt start. and when i put them back it did...it didnt make any difference when i swapped the TPS wires so im thinking that sensor might be defective. any suggestions??

Sounds like you might need a new dizzy and throttlebody. BTW, don't try and change these two sensors...pretty much a futile effort.

Re:i need some help...:)

I would double check that the sensors are wired to the correct spot on the ecu.

get a ecu pin-out and find out which wire should be for those two sensors and follow the wires and make SURE they are attached correctly.

Re:i need some help...:)

i would assume that they are in the right spots becasue i never messed with them...the tps wiring is good but the sensor might not be...the CPS is the one im concerned about. in the dpfi to mpfi swap you have to run wires from C1 and C2 to the blue green and blue yellow wires on the new si dizzy. i did that and its still through the code 4. not sure whats the matter. how do i check to see if its a good dizzy? any way
