I need help A.S.A.P. Please!
Ok, i have a "ZC" stamped motor that i bought at a junk yard which came out of a 1988 Integra. I have fully rebuilt the motor. I put all the motor back together in the other day. When i went to bolt up my tranny from my old motor out of my 1991 Civic Si...it did not bolt up correcty. The starter doesn't bolt up with both bolts only one bolt goes in, the other is way the ---- off. It won't cautch the flywheel with if bolted on with the one bolt either. I thought in one my previous post you guys were saying a Si tranny will bolt up to a ZC? If not will DX tranny work? Please help...i've already spent 1500 rebuilding the motor and im not about to spend another 1000 for another tranny....

I think it all comes down to what year the tranny is and what year the starter is.

Jeff i really could use your advice...cuz i am really frustrated at that Si tranny bolting up. Could this motor be a D16A1? If it is why the hell would it be stamped ZC? If you want to see pictures of what im talking about i could gladly show. Thanks if anyone replies, I would greatly appericate it.

i remember something about 88-89 and 90-91 have different size flywheels and the starters are probably different too.

Who's going to stamp it ZC. They would need to take of the d16a1 stamp first, and then send it somewhere to get it stamped with the same type of lettering somewhere. I guess it is possible but not likely. Check the stamp again and see if it looks weird. As far as I know, usdm integras did not have ZC's. If it is a brown olive top I believe it will not bolt on.
