Default i need help with my setup

I have had this 91 Crx HF with 91 Si block with 97 DX head 1.6. I have it running, but my rpm gauge goes all crazy when i floor it. It seems like im losing high end power. Do i have to mess around with the rocker arms? How do i tune it to run smoothly?Please help.

which ecu? is just the tach bouncing around or can you hear the engine revving up and down with it?

what rpm range does this happen??

im using the Si ecu 1.6 non vtec and it starts going crazy after 5000 rpm, when i had the regular head on it it would go all the way to redline. Damn what shoukld i do?

New head... Same old Distributor... ok lets put that aside... It could be ur timing. Also that cam is a bit different then the crx si and might cause it to be a little bit unsmooth up top. You might also check ur cam angle sensor... Could be a weak fuel pump but im leaning towards stuff with the new head. Take the valve cover off and do a valvetrain adjustment... Car burning any oil or anything? Check engine lights?

nah no burning oil and no check engine. It runs and everything, but it sux past 5000 rpm

Could you explain this please? The gauge is bouncing around or what? I don't get it.

Are you sure the timing belt is in the right position? I bet it's off a tooth...or three.
