Default i know this is simple but.....

so my z6 head is on and the distributor is on with out wires. how do you know from the distributor to what cylinder goes each wire. im sorry i forgot this

The wiring colors should be the same as on the engine harness side. ??

I'm not sure I follow exactly what you are asking, got some pics or more details?

Get the #1 cylinder to TDC. Then take of the dizzy cap. see which way your buttons pointing. thats your #1 from there its 1-3-4-2 is your firing order i think. you probably go counter-clocwise with the wires from #1
