i know its a dumb ass question but....
where is the jump point to check a cel on a 93 civic. i cant find my girls to save my ***. i have the identical car but hers isnt in the same spot. oh both cars are eg four doors. her car threw a cel and i knew it was an oxygen sensor so i replaced it and reset the ecu and it was fine for about a week, then it happened again. same stupid *** sputtering under 3 grand. anybody got an idea?
It's there it's just tucked up underneath the glovebox somewhere. Trust me, it's there. I just dropped a freshly built Z6 with CP pistons and Eagle rods into my car last weekend and the map I'm using is one of my own creation, a stock p28 with injector size 450cc. I have the same surging at low rpms when trying to cruise at 5-10mph and my ecu code is 0 meaning the ecu is dead, but it goes past limp mode etc. I know the Q31 iat triode burnt up on my board because I had the iat and purge solenoid backwards, but I wonder if there's more wrong causing the surging.
Cliffs: Check your iat sensor on the back of the manifold and also the triode on the board @ Q31 by where the plugs connect, you can't miss it. That's all I got for you right now. My ecu's being fixed right now and I won't get back to my car until Saturday night. It runs well and pulls strong, considering it's a stock map with 450cc and dizzy retarded a few degrees.

Well it could be that the new O2 is fouled as well, which would cause stuttering and possible limp mode action. Is it just a stock basemap? When's the last time the engine had new plugs and wires, cap and rotor?
its not in limp mode, past 3k it runs hard. it got an msd cap rotor and coil about 8 months ago. same old plugs and wires though. i dont think its the o2 though cuz when you floor it it doesnt act any different.
Interesting... Unplug the IAT and see what happens. It's the white sensor on the back. First though find out the code. If when you unplug the IAT and nothing changes, it could be it. Not definite, but possible. Mine has no IAT currently and does the same thing. Aside from 450cc injectors causing it, I don't know what could. The motor is brand new.
get the code fix it
iat's dont go bad sorry been at this 10 years never ran accorss one
only thing is people switch plugs when they pull motors not labeling what goes where and there you go

i unplugged the ait and the idol dropped down. i changed plugs and wires and it got worse. changed the o2 a second time and it still sputters under 3k. havent had a chance to change out ecus witg mine or check the code. any body ever had this problem before? feels exactly like an o2.
