Hello i am new and rarly enter these forum crap b/c it seems that people take out of their asses. But yours has made me wonder. I am very interested in buying a gsr clip from japan. I am getting it a great price since my friends and i do buissness with them often. But back to what my qustion is... If I take the b18c and turbo it what would be the best turbo and what would i need to to in order to achieve 300 hp out of my little car. NO NOS please. I am aware of camming it and intake and exsuast and all the cheap things. But the important things are internals. What would u guys put it your car? I am looking only to spend 5,000 with the turbo can it be done. My friends and i are doing all the work

Here is what they will say:
Read through the threads for 2 hours a day, for two weeks straight, then ask questions. You will learn the majority of it through reading, then ask questions specific to what you didn't see.
In a month you will probably change your mind and want to turbo a different motor. Thats just how it goes. Everything is combination. There is no perfect turbo or this or that,,,, it is just how you decide to build the car for what type of driving you will do. You will come to your own conclusion based on the knowledge you acquire here. Go to the tech projects and turbo projects on the homepage. Good luck, and give yourself time.
HMT- how was that?

Thank you. I am aware of that. There are so many options to go from. But i have decided on that enigine due to what i have seen come from it stock and also built. It is a strong and reilible. I will continue witht the tread reading any maybe will change my mind. I am very aware of the cost of things and always want to get my money worth.

he is very true, each setup is so uniquie.. you can built it however you want, that is why we recommend for you to do some research, to decide on what you want to do.

Turbo, well if its on a GSR you want something large.. I would go with a T3 60-1 w/ a .63 housing, but thats me.. Stealthmode may say, ---- that get a ball bearing gt30 turbo. I might say, get a tyrus front mount intercooler, they are cheap and work great. Stealthmode might say, nah get a Apexi SKyline intercooler, they look sick!

and so on and so on.. Its the same way with everything, you can build a $1400 to $5000 pretty easy.

T3 60-1?? are you high? I would definately go with the gt30 and the apexi skyline intercooler. Anyone that didn't would be a stupid ----.lol (That was in my best F&F starring role voice)

Well, after driving around with this dinky *** T3/T4 on my LS/Vtec I would really like to get a 60-1 T3 .63ar housing. I dont mind a little lag, even on the street.

Everyone is differnt how and when they like their boost.

true true...Didn't the Delsol come with a B16?
I would rather turbo that...the internals can handle 300hp well that's the limit I would say. And he was talking about doing the works...new internals etc.. hmmmmm If so i would build up the B16 and get a big T3/T4 hybrid hehehe

to my knowledge from seeing del sols they have the d16 sohc vtec motor in them.....just thought i would throw that in

There were some del sols with b16's on them. According to www.Autotrader.com 94-95 models had them.

I am sorry i buaght the shitty one. the s model which puts out a whole 90 whp. WOW I am flying now. lol. I have some things done but it was just a waste. The usual things intake muffler and chip. Stuff i got for free. lol. But the engine has 165,000 miles on it. I have heard a hyprid engine that is a zc witch is the engine over in japan. It is like mine just diff model number. d16b7 is mine and sucky is writen all over it. So i must to a new make over and have something bigger. I first was like " yeah lets put the h22 is this baby" Then i heard the out come it about the same as a type r but the type r has alittle bit better torque due to the dissplacement of weight. So then i ws like i can't afford that ---- so i had to go a step below and go gsr. I heard great things for them so. I said that could be a great possability. Then i heard about the Ls/vtec hybrid which kicked ***. Then the b20 with a gsr head that all kicked ***. So for right now i am left out to wonder. I will find an engine and it will kill all when done. I hope lol.
