well since i got my LS swap i decided to pop the pan off and look at the rod bearings.. the it was in previously had flipped upside down and ran like that but noone really knows how long so thats why i popped it apart to check them out.. now the surface looks good the coating is basically still on them but i want to see what you guys think..

minor marking on rod side of the bearing..( sets in the cap)

2 marks in the cap itsself not sure how normal it is in a honda engine

it really doesnt show any signs of a spun bearing..( no blueing or hot spots) so i think they are OK but i need a couple other opinions.. also the bearing has 2 little nicks on opposite ends closest to the crank on both sides minor nicks that i acciddently did getting the cap off will that be ok or do i need to geat another one?

yea i am by no means a photographer.. i am trying to work on it.. i cant seem to get a better pic no matter what background i use and i have tried every light in this house

Those bearings look normal, how many miles were on them? The marks on the cap is wierd tho, but I wouldnt worry about it.

well the motor was recently rebuilt and has a estimated maybe 3500 miles on it..

yea i put to nicks in that bearing and pulled a random good bearing out of another LS rod i had lying around spec'd it earlier and a little scared it was close but its within the service limit so we will see what happens
