how to get power to the ecu
hey guys
I bought an 88 crx hf that somebody swapped in a D16a in it, and left the hf trany in it. and it wont start, the fuel pump isnt priming and there is no spark, so I changed the main relay. But they cut up the ignition harness so I can get it to turn over by touching some of the wires but no combination gets power to the ecu... any suggestions on how to get power to the ecu or what to check? what is the d16a from? (not d16a6...1st gen integra maybe?) I need an ignition switch so let me know if ya got one. |
Re: how to get power to the ecu
First gen teg had d16a1 DOHC

Re: how to get power to the ecu
well thanks jago ,,,but I got no 1 after my d16a

Since you're stock wiring harness is cut up, why don't you just run a separate power wire directly to your ecu, say from your fusebox?

I'm voting to replace vehicle wiring harness, ---- the dumb ----. I've repaired harnesses before when riceboys just started cutting (wires in the back half of the vehicle over a DPI-->MPFI conversion??) and it was never worth my effort. |
Re: how to get power to the ecu
yes jago I would like to run a hot wire directly to the ecu but which wire or pin-out on the ecu is for power?
thats what my title says |
Re: how to get power to the ecu
I would go to the junkyard and get an unmolested harness
Car sounds kind of like a mess. Electrical fires arent cool |
Re: how to get power to the ecu
its not really a mess just the ignition harness is....
come on somebody knows what wire to use to supply power to the ecu??? |
Re: how to get power to the ecu
What ecu is it
