GM Synchromesh Friction modified is the one you want. ---- works miracles. Granted it's no fix but it's one mother ****** of a bandaid.

I worked at a few gm dealers and syncromesh works great but so does ATF. MM6- the six speed trans in the trans am, camero, and corvett all use Dexron ATF. With the tight clearances in honda trans, maybe some ATF would aid, it would for sure clean up any crap stuck in the syncros and bearings, rings, whatever. Maybe run some ATF for a week then drain it and ad syncromesh. I have a 2000 si and my tranny has those shifting issues, when the bastard was under warranty the mf'ers wouldn't fix the crap even though there was a bullitin on it. I know they have some syncro issues, especially in my si tranny. I think the bullitin said to replace all the ones that grind. Just venting now, sorry!!

Also, if you think going into a standard trans is easy and repairng, good luck, make sure you keep an eye on which way the syncros go back, shift forks, snap rings, clearences, this isn't an everyday joe job, its time consuming and if you don't have the tools, patients and some skillz, you will be one pissed off puppy when you put that sob back in your car. I would do a automatic over a standard any day of the week!!

Your nuts! Theres no seals, pistons, valve bodies, clutch packs or teflon to deal with. I'll mess with a manual anyday. walk in the park.

ATF in a Honda tranny = death to plastic bearing cages, like Redline MTL does.

turbo dave, I've never failed to provide info on tools needed.........yes it sometimes hurts me as a business getting started.

If you can build a motor, Honda manual trannys are a cake wake.
