How far can LS Rods go?
I'm looking to do a build on my LS block, and i'm not sure how much longer my stock LS is goin to last in my car, so I need to get goin on this build. Only thing thats been holding me back is getting some rods. Tryin to save for Eagles, but I'm a student, and an alcholic so saving up 300 and then justifying spending it on the car has been rough. So I think i'm gonna go ahead and put it together with what i have:
JE 9.1:1 pistons w/ CP rings
New OEM HG
ACL bearings
ARP headstuds
Arp 5/16 rod bolts
Stock LS rods
With everythign else being a little beefed up, i'm wondering if the LS rods would be a serious weak point in the setup. My goals at this point are short of 400hp. Would this be feasible or am I looking at definate failure on the rods? Any input appreciated, thanks!

stock rods are usaully okay till about 300hp if you really can't wait I mean the parts aren't going anywhere. *
but why do that pistons are the most expensive part, Your more then halfway to a completely built no worries boost 20 psi bottom end.

If you're going to tear the motor apart to install the pistons bearings ect... you should just wait and get the eagle rods and install them with everything else. No sense in getting eagles later and tearing the motor out twice. I just figure do the job once and do a good job rather than multiple jobs, especially when it comes to something like pulling a motor.
