My friend says we can run the vtec using a VAFC . My other question is what about the sensors on the engine and the plugs on the OBD0 harness , some of them are different , YES ? I have the exaust from the Y8 so i have the O2 sensors. If I'm going OBD0 i need to use the Z6 O2 sensor right ?

You can activate vtec off a vafc. It's more expensive for the average joe-cheap to do it that way, but it'll work. If you have the afc laying around, why not. Plus then you can change the engagement point on the fly as well.
Obd0 runs a 1-wire o2 sensor, the cheapest one you'll ever buy from an auto parts store I usually get the Bosch replacements and cost under $20 for one. Just get the o2 sensor for an 88-91 civic/crx.
Most of the major sensor plugs are the same, although there are some that might have to be either swapped with their obd0 counterpart, or have a section of obd2 harness grafted on. The biggest ones that will give you a problem are the alternator and plug, and the dizzy. You must use a pm6 obd0 dizzy if you plan on running obd0 (don't worry, the 88-91 si dizzy bolts right on to the y8 head), and you might have to swap in the d16a6 alternator in order to retain the original obd0 plug for it.

I understand that the VAFC is just a quick fix . I plan on doing it right when i can afford a chipped ECU !!! I also still need some turbo related parts before I get the new ECU.

thank you very much for the info !!!
