Default HOW DO I BUILD A MINI ME?

Hi i wanna buiild a mini me foi my bros car, just wondering what i gotta do? I know that for and LS/vtec you gotta tap a oil line for the head and do a lil drilling.

What do i gotta do for a mini me. will it just bolt on? or all i have to do is wire up vtec?

using a d15 block from crx hf, and using head off a d16. I also have another block from a 99 cx civic. but the crx has higher compression.

First make sure you have 16 valve pistons some hf's have 8v some 16v dont know why. There are really good write ups on honda-tech just do a search they have all the 411 you need.

The D16Y8 is a bit differnt than the others, for instance you have an extra hose running from the back of the head to the thermostat houseing, i would say use a different head...

Also make sure you remove the oil jet from the block...it's the biggest mistake i've seen people do with mini-me's. Also, the y8 head has better quench area in the combustion chamber for a more controlled burn (i.e. less detonation) than a z6 head, a y8 has better flow properties than a z6, slighter bigger cam than a z6, and the best of all...your obd0 dizzy will bolt right onto the y8 head...if you have a z6 head, you have to cut the dizzy up a little to get the right timing setting, and will only be able to get 1 or 2 bolts on. Have fun and good luck!
