I was plastigauging out my new set of honda bearings for that bastard #3 main cap that was too tight. Well, started torquing the bolts down, in steps and in sequence per the honda service manual. The one bolt on #3 cap felt a little weird going towards 56ft/lbs but I didn't feel it click yet to torque. Well, long story short, it broke right after that...snapped the entire thread portion of the bolt off in the block Think I can take it to a machine shop and have them remove it? I've been going crazy all day trying to find another block or a gsr block and so far no luck. If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all :P

I took a head to a 'good' shop around here. all the old timers recommended it. it came back with imperial thread. I was like 'how the ---- did you put a 1/4-20 stud into a metric head?'
Now that I think about it that's been over a year ago, nothin seems to leak yet. But it was annoying torquing down the nuts with one nut being imperial and the rest metric.

Ok, I found a shop decently local to me to get it removed. Going to take it down tomorrow and see what happens. What's the average price on something like this going to run me? I asked the guy and he said he'd have to see it first, couldn't give me a rough estimate.
