I sent my motor to a machine shop and I need to know which way the rods and pistons get put together.I guess when I put the rods on the pistons two were different then the others.I had no idea it made a difference?is there a certain way the bearing notches have to face?

 

Are these oem pistons and rods or are they aftermarket. What excatly is the machine shop doing to youre block. Just to fill me in so a can better try to answer your question.

 

It is a set of Je pistons and eagle rods.The machine shop is assembling my shortblock.He wants to be sure he has the rods facing the rght direction.The pistons are obviouse with the intake valve notches on the intake side.But which way to the eagle rods face?

 

I have a set of eagle rods as well But unfortunetly there was no mark which side is which. But where side the notches for the bearing were facing thats how there were assembled. Try asking ghettoturbo what side they go on cause i bought the rods from him. Hope i helped.
