Yah, no load there, should work fine for that.

Trim the barbs on the stock plugs a little, they start slipping in and out easier but don't come free on their own.

I rocked a fuel pump killswitch and and a few other tricky dickys because I had an auto to manual conversion... so there was a lot of wiring tricks that even a relatively experienced thief would have been confused by.

THeives get very confused and ultimately defeated when their is in fact no car to steal...SOLUTION steal your car before someone else does. No worries.

Like the ECU walkabout idea too.

the new rex i have doesnt have an ignition, so i have a switch hidden to turn on power, and another hidden for the starter... was done out of nessicity instead of worry about it getting stolen, but not many people would think to look for em or even know what they do if they found em

If i got into a car with no ignition, First thing i'd look for would be a switch and/or a button.

Any switch can be found, and wiring things in places that are easy to get to is a big no, because thats where everyone wires them.

On one of my cars I installed an alarm, it took me almost a week, but it was worth it. I ran all the wires for the alarm to the passenger side through the main harness, so there was no way to even see them. The wires were then routed through some SS braided water line (from home depot) so that the harness could not be cut into even if they were found and up behind the HVAC. The alarm was mounted on top of the A/C box, and the siren inside of it. It of course had a built in starter kill.

On my current car I am thinking of wiring up an auto-tripping fuel pump kill.

the momentary switch can be a push button, a reed switch (magnetic, so you can mount it behind the dash and activate it by holding a magnet over where it is), or radio control. You only have to press it while your starting the car, after that it stays on till the car is off, then it resets automatically.

Pretty good idea.

I always thought it would be a neat idea to make 2 switches. One under the drivers seat from the fuel pump with the wiring under the carpet and another in the dash using an existing switch like the rear defrosters, no average thief would ever think of turning on your defrosters to turn on your car.

Id also put small www.baitcar.com stickers on the drivers and pass side window so it will make them think twice about stealing it. If they do decide to risk it they will be confused as to why the car is not starting and may believe that it is infact a bait car and will run off.

Ill also run a 3rd switch from the ECU to the EXTERIOR of the car hiding it somewhere.

So 3 switches, 2 stickers and guess what, if they really want it they will take it with a tow truck.

would you know what to do with them if theres more then one or two though is the question, sitting there figureing it out is a waste of time that i think most thieves wouldnt want

Just make your car look like a pos and nobody will want it.
