gas in oil? your rings are probably fucked.

Re:hf to b-16 swap injectors pumping too much fuel

Re:hf to b-16 swap injectors pumping too much fuel
they are definetely obd0. and the motor i pulled them from ran. could there be an hf sensor i would need to change. i cant figure this ---- out.

check to make sure the fuel lines going from the filter and the fuel rale are flowing correctly. It may sound dumb but ive see it before :-\.

hey blake this is lonzo. what you need to find out is, how would gas get into the oil. if anyone would have ahd this happen before, AND ITS NOT THE RINGS. no smoke, no oil burning. we originally thought the injectors were staying on when the car was off, or some weird ---- like that. but this was obd1 engine and we converted it to obd0 and it seemed to run fine, just this little(big) problem..

Re:hf to b-16 swap injectors pumping too much fuel
something is wrong in the wiring..
if u pulled them from an 88-91 car that was running you did something wrong in the wiring. |
Re:hf to b-16 swap injectors pumping too much fuel
the injectors were from an Ls. the car is an hf. and the engine was b61a with a diff, and when we got it, it turned out to be obd1. but besides the injectors flooding the manifold i don't see any way to get gas in the oil. in older cars it would be a flooding carb. or blown seal on the fuel pump, but i've never seen this in a fuel injected car.

Re:hf to b-16 swap injectors pumping too much fuel
WE figured it out, it was the obd1 injectors on the obd0 system. there was just some leftover gas that we were smelling. i gues it takes a while to flush out.

Re:hf to b-16 swap injectors pumping too much fuel
when you flood a cyl the gas leaks past the rings eventually. which gives u gas in the oil.
BTW. we tried tellin him it was the wrong injectors! ;D |
