let your car warm up fully. when it does its funcy idle thingy shut off pull the hazzard and ECU fuses and wait like 30 sec pop back in start up and see if that works. did for me.

I would say that maybe one of the electrical connections is not getting sent thru it... check resistanvce between plugs and ecu

well i found the info on the ground fix. its for dx wiring harnesses, (which mine is cause I modified a 2wd wagon.) you gotta take the green/white wire at the tps and cut it and run it straight from the tps to a ground on the intake manifold. got it done today but have my turbo off for some mods so havne't tried it out yet. if that don't work i'm just gonna run the pm6 and screw the vtec cause I've not been able to notice when it kicks in anyhow. oh well, maybe once I have bigger exhaust on i'd notice it. thats coming soon.

you should be able to hear the solenoid kick in in your garage with hood open manually turnning throttle.

the DX harness the 2 outside wires of TPS should be flipped around. I cant see grounding that would do anything as all it does is generate between 1-5ish volt depending on throttle position but maybe worht a try.

Re:Help, any one heard of adding a ground wire to

that wire is the ground for the tps voltage. can't have voltage without a ground, and if your ground has a bad connection somewhere in the harness, you will have a voltage drop, which will affect the signal getting to the computer. They had a problem with the ground on some dx harnesses, enough to have a honda tsb on it. yea i did switch the wires, so thats not the problem. I should know later today if that fixed it or not.

ah i gotcha wel then ya I can see what your doing could make a huge difference. So your gonna gorund the middle wire then?

let us know how it works out

here is something little that should be tried before making any expensive purchases...
the vac line to the intake...make sure it's connected, and there is no leaks...that could cause fluctuation in idle...
as for using ground lines, those are bullshit...
they work REALLY well if u have a stereosystem that creates engine noise when revved.

that would be a poorly gorund amp, speaker grounded system or a bad RCA's with power running along side them to close. thats all that really creates alternator whine nothing to do with TPS sensor

have you tried looking for a vacuum leak? the manifold gasket or the throttle body use a can of brake clean and spray these areas if idle increases or falls off dramaticly there is a vacuum leak. as for the wiring also if you pull the connector off the eacv the car should stall telling you that the sensor is working try this i have more

Re:Help, any one heard of adding a ground wire to

yeah I've been all over it looking for vaccum leaks, etc. no such luck. it runs fine with the pm6 other than the idle issue, but it has good power and no hesitation.I just wanted to run the vtec properly. the the p28, you start to ease into it, and it starts stumbling and feels like nothings there, and if you keep on sometimes it will ping. but if you let off some and then go back open it sometimes will straghten up and pull good. very wierd. i'm going to go back to the pm6 tonight I think. this damn thing is going to lean out and blow my motor if i don't change it back to pm6. by eacv you mean the idle air vavle? it will die if thats unplugged. its not supposed to, you're suposed to be able to unplug it and adjust the idle to 500, then plug it back in. I can't open it enough or close it enough for it to idle with it unplugged.

i will check my honda manual for you to see about the ground wire there are two idle control sensors one is the eacv or elec. air control valve the other is the purge valve one is on the bak of the manifold the other is under the throttle body i did not read this entire forum this is what year car crx, model? and the pm6 is 92-95 vtec coorect
i have diagrams for everything i just need to know what you have happy to help let me know
