naww. i did all the ---- right. i have read on h-t and i guess that the leak near the dizzy is very common. i replaced all gaskets and o rings and still have the leak. Yet there is no oil and coolant mix. i said ---- it. i dont care bout it, im gonna get a zc and start fresh anyways.

That's great...go buy a new motor cause yours has an oil leak ::) O-ring on the dizzy is more than likely leaking, probably because the cam cap that the dizzy fits into wasn't tightened to specs.

the cap that the dizzy goes into was never taken off. and where oil should drip down from the dizzy is not wet. There are a few sensors there and they are dry.

Re: head leaking oil

Then it has to be a valve cover gasket problem. As far as I remember, there are no oil returns or high oil pressure oil galleys on the front corner of the head where you say it's leaking from...they're in the back of the head. If it was the headgasket leaking at that corner, it would be pissing out coolant, not oil, from around the sleeves. The vcg has got to be shot. Probably old and dried up. Get a new gasket for the valve cover and try that then. I just looked at the d15b head I have laying in my garage, and there is absolutely no spot at all in front of the dizzy that it could leak from other than where the valve cover gasket covers over the last cam cap. If it's coming straight out the head wall itself, then you have a hole in the damn thing. ::)

Re: head leaking oil

clean the motor and sprinkle some flour around the head and take it for a rip.
oil can leak from 2 places on the dist. the o-ring (will leak next to head) and the seal for the shaft (will leak from oil drain hole on bottom of dist).
you still have that rubber o-ring in your Oil Cap?
