check:
o-ring for the distributor.
or the seal inside distributor. (is there oil coming out of the little hole on the bottom of the dizzy? oil inside the dizzy?)

we need more info. Is there oil in the dist? Or just from the left side by the cam seal and dizzy. Or is it ontop of the exh. mani? More info...and what motor? Was it a ls/vtec with leaky lines (just a thought). Pictures too if possible.

The other night I had my toobig valvecover gasket pop out after I adjusted my valves, pissed oil everywhere. Like, puddle in my driveway and trail up the street for a good long while. Check your valvecover gasket, and check your distributor O-ring, those like to go too.

at idle i couldnt see any oil coming out even with reving. But after i drove it a bit and looked, oil was leaking all over. It looks like the seam in between the head and bcok, since i saw that the exaust manifold itself was wet also, i took the head off. I looked and did not see anything wrong with the seal between the head and block. Can head gaskets be faulty?? I used cooper spray when putting the new gasket on, can that mess up the seal? what should i do to prevent a leak when i put it back on?? I will be getting another headgasket. there was also no cantamination between oil and coolant. so that means the oil must be spewing out from the oil return port? Please help. this ---- is pissing me off. Thanks.

one dowel pin in the block is a y8 one, and the other is an a6 one. Could different dowel pins make the head leak? It looks like the y8 dowl pin near the leak is slightly taller than the a6 one.

Try another z6 pin. Also...make sure your head is level. I think its about 30 bucks or so for a shop to test the head and a few more for them to resurface it. That would give me a piece of mind.
