black solenoids may cause a cel during semi cold days and heavy load.
Super cold days its always on. You get an EGR code i believe.

egr? i've never seen a b series motor with the egr valve. I agree with chris, just use the crx harness and you'll be golden. may need to extend some wires but nothing to wild. should be plug and play

egr code on integras 90-91 were only on auto motors. All 5spd b18's dont have an egr. But if for exmaple an auto pr4-a52 is used than an egr code is expected even on a 5spd motor due to well the ecu doesnt know anybetter its just lookin for that sensor

Well the guy at the auto electronics place told me that the plug for the alternator is the same but the alternators work differntly, currently my alt is putting out 12 volts enought to keep the car running but not enough to charge the battery...he said he had to swap the voltage regulators (put the d series into the B alt) for it to work properly, anyone ever hear about this before? Just trying to give you a heads up Dave i know you will probably be dealing with the same things i am right now

I have 2 B series alternators. They should work fine. The one in my car works for ---- anyway. Chris the engine I have was from an Automatic and had an EGR valve. I swapped the intake manifold to a NON egr type from a 92. I already got the SI harness on the B18 so I'll roll that until I have an issue. I guess I just won't plug in the one plug that went into the solenoid attached to the bottom of my A6 and see what happens. I have a chipped PR4 and I have a chipped P75 and conversion harness. I currently need an LS OBDI distro so I am going to use the PR4 till I can get one.

i really dont see any issue's with those dumb purge valves. the only important sensors that'll throw a CEL are the IACV and the IAT. Good luck!

If my ------- engine mounts and shift linkage get here anytime soon I will find out.

P.S. whoever told me I need a Teg throttle cable I think was wrong. I compared it to my SI cable and my SI cable is actually a bit longer and should work fine.

I used the Teg cable and the difference is between where it mounts to the mani and the throttle wheel, I believe they differ there, mine seems kind of loose too but it works fine
