Default H22a replacing pistons question

I cracked the ring lands on my stock h22 with boost. i bought JE 9:1 pistons... im told AFTER i bought them that i HAVE to sleve it or else it wont last but 1000 miles. why is this? or are they wrong?

Your stock sleeves are homo and made out of Smagma which won't bond to the piston correctly. You heard right.

damn..... so IF i can return the pistons i bought what kind should i get because i dont have the kind of cash it takes to sleve the block.

I'm no H series expert so my advice isn't worth ----, but I would suggest the factory OEM parts if you're not going to sleeve it.

So if i want to keep boost.. what can i do? OEM pistons? and lower the boost so it doesnt blow the ring lands again? someone help i need some advice..

ya use your stock stock pistons and run a thicker head gasket to lower the comp. getto style lol
