Your better off just going ahead and pulling the motor to get to everything easily, it's just what 6 plugs 2 hoses, starter power supply and drain the radiator. By the time you fight with geting the bolts in and some what tight you will be fighting the belt, by then you could have motor out, clean up the engine bay, and back in with less aggrivation. BELIEVE ME I KNOW. My H22A is in a EG hatch. Have fun or listen the wise.

And dont bother with the H23 stuff unless it's a crank and rods

Those will be so hard to tune at idel if it's going to be driven on the street. I have P.P. 1000cc's and at 850 rpm idel I'm using like 1% duty cycle of the injector, which is just hard to get to idle, some times after a pull on the dyno it will drop to 0% for a couple of min's even with the same AFR's.
And for a fan get a FAL with a pusher blade. So you have room for your slave and no worries of when the motor rocks the slave bleeder valve wont hit the blades of the fan.
Or just get one from advance and grab one of their fans and the mounting kit. Change out your under hood fan fuse to a 20amp from a 15amp for more power then get a cooler fan switch so your fan cycles more often.

Both work but I live in Indiana and weathers crazy here year round

im in iowa and its different every damn day and i have a fal fan but i cant fit it so im goin to run an advanced auto one. and just have it on a switch. yea i know thats what i was worried about with the 1200s but i want more than 500 hp and 1000s will get me roughly 500 on e85. but i was hoping for more but oh well, we'll just have to see.

best way is only out it on the exhaust cam halfway, same for the waterpump, and the just force it onto the intake cam.

Your a straight up idiot,
It's a H22 in a civic, if you triy that method there is not a way to get the manual belt adjustment right or even access to it with the belt on with out taking the cover off, which is not possible in this method.
LISTEN TO THE ONES WITH THIS MOTOR
PULL THE MOTOR put the belt on with the top to TDC alignment dots marked side to side"CAMS", with the crank at it mark on the fly with in the widow mark opening BOTTOM END ADVANCE, mark the belt with the gear with a paint marker on the cams and the crank to make sure TDC and install the water pump. SIMPLE ----

------- IDIOTS that have not done a conversion such as this that throw their input makes me ------- ANGRY

Id think that with the proper ethnic engineering i5t could be done in the motor with just the tranny dropped down...... Even in a civic.

The rear frame support is about 3in too big to drop the trans cause of the extended length of the trans you can only do it maybe 2 iches but it wont help any, Seriously the best way is to just pull the motor.
Thanks for Chiming in, BDVT nice for some ideas really, but it's not as simple as it is in your car.

Just pull the motor and eliminate any errors of B/S. Get in fixed the first time rather than fighting with it cause of the tight fit. PULL IT OUT

ENGINEERING is not the key

And the intake cam is on the back side of the motor with only 1/2in of clearance from the strut tower structure
You got it backwards or sdrawkcab as some idiot here spells it.

You should know better than throwing your jibberish in
OH BTW BRASS VALVE GUIDES FROM KMS SUCK

Diameter is way to small, got to hone them like 20 thow to get right and they are only for stroker motors that that have high lift cams
Didnt know this at the time and they scarred up and caused a valve guide oil leak
Pulled my head and off the the machinist
Pick it up next weekend along with my OBX LSD with the M2B4 gears and M2F4 ring gear

Engineering is the KEY
