What block do you have? (H22A, H22A1, H22A4, USDM H23, JDM H23 DOHC VTEC, etc.]

And what did you do to it, and how much boost you're running?

What are things that potentially can go wrong and what need to be done to avoid/fix those problems?

I'm planning to get an H series + rebuild + boost all at once. And I'm looking to see everyone's advice on that.

I did research but I do not know ALL who has H series in this forum. Therefore, I do not know what they did to it and their problems, again, this is for ALL people who has H series. This thread is more kinda like a listing for H series owners with their projects, problems, solutions, etc.

I know pretty much general to intermediate stuff like that H series has FRM sleeves, weak internals, etc.; and what need to be done to advoid those common problems. Generally, it is not suitable for mid-high boost. That's the common error.

However, I'm looking into smaller and more specific, or more technical related errors that each H series owner has and what they did to fix the errors; so that I can learn and avoid when I'm doing my project all at once.

Only thing i can really give ya is one of the h series motors is close decked which might help ya more, im not sure which year is was, i know beau and princess no, someone else might to

if ur boosting a h series motor go with the h23 becuz it has longer gears more torque and higher compresssion

 

lower compression you mean?
