h-beam rod difference

h-beam rod difference
so i was wondering how much horsepower/torque, the conventional h-beam rod, can withstand. What are the true differences between all of these different h-beams that Scat, Eagle, Manley, and Probe produce? I was going to buy a set of manley connecting rods and pistons from honda-tech because they are going for about $700 shipped for both - which is a great deal. I am doing a build up and was going to try to reach 600+whp and I am unaware of which rod to use. Can I use the manley rod and piston combo - to withstand that amount of horsepower?? If not should I just go with the Turbo Tuff rods that manley produces? Or should I just get a set of new eagle connecting rods that have the 3/8ths rod bolt?

Re: h-beam rod difference
i don't think tuner toys rods can withstand 600whp+. I think they are good for a moderate 450-500whp but not anything above that. I will probably just get the set of manleys and see if a rod will snap at 650+whp....thanks

lol so you have personaly tested this theory
from tuner toys web site "Tuner Toys Connecting Rods will support Horsepower ratings in the 600-700 range for turbo motors. "

"Tuner Toys connecting rods...
* Are torqued to 37Ft/Lbs
* Require notching most blocks. (a standard procedure).
* May need machining/honing of the pin end to match the pistons used. (again standard)
* Can support up to 500Hp with the included ARP8740 Bolts
* Can support up to 7000RPM with the included ARP8740 Bolts
* Should be matched to your engine, using the factory manual procedures.
* The above includes bearing selection.
* Are sold for off road use only.
* Tuner Toys rods are to be used for floating pin applications only!"
and i am the idiot? i am going to be using a vtec head and i would only be able to rev to 7k when i need to rev to 9k and I would only get 500hp when i need 600-700hp - you my friend are the one who lacks common sense. :1
