In my opinion 400 w/ just a blockguard, while possible, is reallly pushing it, and may not be the most reliable thing in the world. But, yes that was done with merely a hone, blockguard, forged pistons, forged rods, and a factory crank knife edged and balanced. But Block posting would be a hell of alot more HMT style and would still give you the strength you need. There is also the methanol injection option to help "up the octane" to make the vehicle more reliable.
