I got some APR gsr headstuds for real cheap, and I'm just wondering if they'll work with the regular LS block/head. I know they'll work for an LS/VTEC, but I may want to run the LS head for just a bit until I score a good deal on a Vtec head. I searched, but couldn't find the answer. Thnx guys,

using incorrect headstuds is the easiest way to strip the headstud threads right out of you block

 

yea just sell those and buy the right ones

and even when u do the lsvtec swap you are still going to use the ls headstuds, not gsr.

 

if you can use them for a lsvtec y couldnt you not use them on a ls, either way youd have the same block threads and wouldnt be stripping anything? :P

 

I had both a set of GSR studs and LS studs here at the same time, if I remember correctly, the GSR studs were about 1/4" longer.

 

if the studs are too short and dont bottom out you are puting all the stress on the threads in the block.

 

LS has 2 longer head studs. other then that the studs will work if you ordered 2 extra studs. its not that big of a Deal my b16 has b18c head studs in it now

Steve told me that they were a bit longer, but since they're studs, I could just tighten them down and have that extra 1/4 of an inch stick out? Otherwise, I'll just sell the gsr and get the ls. thnx guys.

 

You sure did get them cheap. :P

Take the god damn bolts out and size them up. After that, call me and tell me you can't believe you made a post about something so gay, when the only person that is going to get to the bottom of this, is you taking out the stock bolts.
Give me some tools. I'll fucken do it for you.
