Whats a good ""budget"" rod..

I have a D16Z6 , 75mm vitara's , and wanna make 300 reliable WHP

I don't want to polish and shot peen the stockers... thats gay

Tuner Toys rods are your best bet for cheap rods, they work great for me. 3 of the wrist pins fit perfect in the rods, one rod's small end needed a little honing though to keep the pin full-floating so keep in mind they may not be ready to go right out of the box.

Can't find any pics of the caddy , I inherited it from my grandmother about 15 years ago , it's been in storage for 5... it's a 425BB , no rust ,new paint.. 2 door pheaton

Oh yeah ..why build budget.. Any goober can have something built or buy a car.. It's more fun to see how little you spend and how fast you can go..and the looks on peoples faces when you spenk them in a ---- box. my dad , brother and I built the LS1 corvair , my turbo corvair , my northstar....ect....

They look the similar to TunerToys but i can't say for sure. If you end up wanting the TT rods I can have them shipped to me then send em to you, just let me know if you want to go that route.

i bought a set of the ebay SRM rods, look great and so far so good in the motor! great price for a set of D16 rods...I would have bought TT but they were out of stock for a long time!

Yeah they do.. Why dont you try to notch your block while its still in the car. I did it cause im a gangster.. Plus I love shavings in my eyes!
