Default To gaurd the block or not?

First, the build: Turbo Tuned b18c1

I need to know about block gaurds. I've heard good things and bad things. I would like to know yea or nea. and why. Thanks!

In reality there not worth it. They need to be welded in for any chance of them being worth while then block decked etc. Its not just buying the guard. Find someone who tunes turbo hondas all day long and you wont have an issue with your typical street build 300 hp range.

My tuner just made 380WHP @ 16psi. Fully stock GSR motor, except ARP headstuds

i used to think that till JD said that the reason people were doing that was cause they thought the cylinders were moving, but really they were just expanding. it makes sense that and engine could handle more power with nothing around the cylinders than with a block gaurd or filling. they might add un-needed stress to the cylinders

Not needed, lo0k at my friends vitara build. Stock sleeves 450+hp. You should be fine with the B.

You know that was exactly what I was thinking about! Thats crazy! I think Im going to say F-it and not do it, one I've heard more horror stories than not and for the most part is kinda a budget build, and don't really want to have it welded in and then having the block decked. So thanks For everyones imput!
