Hey guys.. just swapped a Zc 1.6L vtec into my Dx Eg. everything running good now with the exception of above 4000 rpm. What it does is the tach needle starts fluctuating back n forth so i don know exactly where I am in the rpm band. and i'm also not sure if im hitting Vtec becuase after 4km the higher I go, it feels like its lagging the power and its the slightest bit laggy. Any help to fix these things?

haha good shiz.. no cels. but I havent had the jumper on while trying to hit vtec. would it throw a code only during vtec?

anyone know how to check vtec without checkin resistance or any of that crap

What was the problem with the car runnig that you "fixed" your other thread

 

Sounds like something in your distributor is fucked up.

RPM jumping around indicates a bad igniter/coil.

 

^^ My z6 did the same thing, replaced coil and igniter all good now.
