Few questions About my D16Z6 Swap in 1991 crx si
I have a few questions...
I put a Z6 in my 91 crx si.
Im using an Apexi V-AFC to controll v-tec and fuel. Using the PM6 Ecu and si wiring.
I am using the obd0 distributor drilled on ghetto style.
I am also using the Z6 Intake manifold.
I am getting a Cel Code 1 blink which is Oxygen Content. Is this because im using the Z6 Intake manifold and not all sensors are connected?
Can i use it like this? if so what plugs do i connect where?
Also.. Can i use the Z6 Distributor? i purchased a harness that allowed the Z6 Distributor to clip on to the obd0 harness.
Will it cause a problem because i am still using a Pm6 ecu?

there wont be one behind the cat, its obd0 only obd2 has the behind the cat i believe. maybe obd1 does, but i know obd0 doesnt.
Id say check the o2 wiring also. If you replace the wiring did u use shielded? crappy little normal automotive wire wont shield it good enough. Also, no crimp connectors on that wire! solder, solder solder!
good luck

Code 1: Make sure you have an O2 installed and that there is continuity from the sensor to ECU pin C16. Do you get the code after the first few minutes of startup, or only during an extended WOT run?
Z6 distributor: The PM6 is expecting to see a 16tooth OBD0 dizzy, the Z6 is a 24....no dice.
What kind of sensors are not connected? Any other CEL's?
Leed, no other cells.. as soon as i turn on the car the ecu is flashing red 1 blink
after being WOT after 15 min the light comes on....
all sensors are connected.. no other lights come on..
or codes..
prolly a few vacume leaks since im using a z6 intake manifold but i do have vacuume plugs on the stuff that doesnt have a hose on there and i removed the charcol canister from the car..

Somebody else had the same problem on this forum... but I forgot who. Anyways, join the club. I have the same car/swap/problem as you, and also a friend of mine has it as well. The CEL doesn't come on right away right? If I am correct, it comes on after like 5-15 minutes of driving. I think its cuz some of the sensors are not connected (I have a couple sensor plugs just hanging and shiz too). Anyways, I have replaced my O2 sensor twice, and I have checked the ---- out of the wire-the connections are perfect. I still keep getting stupid CELs, and when I read the blinks on the ECU(PM6) I get the same freakin one blink, O2 sensor code, every time. Word of advice, don't bother replacing your O2 sensor more than once, its a waste of time/money. If you want to reset your ECU, you can either unhook the battery for a while, or pull the hazard fuze from the fuze box in your engine compartment. I believe that it is the only 10 there, the others are like 15 if I remember right. It probably won't do any good though. Anyways good luck, and if you ever figure it out, I would REALLY like to know. Like I said, I have been haunted by the same problem.
