Re: F22A1 pre build Questions

The h22 head will drop right on an f22 you have to fill one of the oil jackets with honda bond its obvious wich one it is when you compare the head and the block. you use the f22 water pipe from the waterpump to the thermostat neck and this is the only sort of tough part. You have to pull the lower timing gear off of an h22 and then put it on the f22 water pump the f22 lower timing gear is to big and it won't stay in time with it.

h22 pistons are to tall and will stick out of the block in an f22 who ever told you they work was wrong. Use a p28 ecu for vtec

you can get forged f22a1 pistons at summitracing.com their Arias pistons and they cost $500
you can give wisco a call and ask them for a part number on their f22a1 pistons and the give summitracing a call give them the wisco part number and then they can order them for you wisco's cost $430 Goldeneagle make rods for the f22 you just have to call and ask

and the other guy was right h23 rods are the same as f22s
2G dsm manifold flow better then the 1gs and their strong and less prone to cracking.

And a tdo5 is a good size turbo for an f22.

even with a h22 head the f22 bottom end still shouldn't see more then 6500 rpm it's just got a longer stroke and isn't going to make anymore power anyway. I'd love to see a g22 with some good turbo cams and a nice setup I bet that motor could make some nice numbers.

meh ---- it jgenginedynamics makes forged intenals and valvetrain kits for the f22 so they own me hardcore. im hopefully getting a 94 lude si with a h23 with attached slushbox. so im gonna swap it out for a lower mielage f22 with attached trans and go from there F SERIES FOR THE WIN!!

Those engines die like clockwork every 80K miles. Oil pump or valvetrain problems.

So do 90% of all boosted honda motors.
