F22A1 pre build Questions

OK the DSM Exhaust manifold will work should i get a stock one or an aftermarket DSM one and which generation?some people sayd the 2nd gens are less prone to cracking. Isnt the DSM Turbo Manifold Cast iron? How hard is it to mod it to fit the F22 head? I have a TD05 So im going to use that, but i want to go forged internals. Now ive searched and it appears that out of the results i looked at no one makes forged internals for the F22 but i ran across a post on here that says that H22 Internals will work. So, if i get JE slugs/eagle Rods for an H22 i can jsut throw them in right? or will i have clearence problems internally? and do i use OEM F22 Bearings or OEM H22 bearings? Im guessing i can use the arp rod bolts for the h22 as well right? other then that everything else should be ok and the bottom end will eb done. One last thing. Which Trans do yall preffer the f series trans or the h series trans? manual of course but which one is more stout/optimal for highway driving?

they do make forged internals for the f22, i know bc i have them all lol...just search for it. I do not think (correct me here) that you can put an h22 head on the f22 block, but i could be wrong. Maybe with some machining love and ---- like that, but i do not think itis a direct bolt on. If you are going to spend the money for the h22 why not just get an entire h22 engine, bc some of them came with closed decks = :y :y, but they do make internals for the f22, just do some more searchin, arais sells em and so does crower and ----. Arp also makes studs that will work~ check out cb7tuner.com for more questions

Ok so there are forged internals i guess the posts i was reading where just so far back. Im not even going to do a head swap im going to keep the stock head and go with aftermarket valvetrain and what not. I didnt say i was going to spend the money on an h22 the post i read said h22 internals would ork in the f22 block, but seeign as how there are aftermarket rods and pistons then i guess ill go with those now wont i. How about the trans though which one is preferred for highway and will last the longest? Also im firmiliar with using uberdata....did they say you can change the ecu out for a pm6 or a p06? is there any wiring that needs to be changed?

im using a p28 bc i have a vtec head on it...all i had to do was run a wire into the harness for the solinoid, wasnt hard. The ecus that you can use uber with connect right to the stock harness of our accords...it aint bad at all! I perfer my f22 trans, i have rebuilt it and ---- and not had any problems O0

you cant put h22 pistons in an f22.

you can put a h22 head on a fseries block

;) I've seen it done, my buddy Tim (stenseltizm) fitted an H22 head onto an F22A1 block :D

Also, h23 works on f23.

Researcher, I've heard that the 2g's flow better, although any turbo manifold from a 4g63t would work well for your needs :6

With chris's SSAuto manifold that we're using,

We had to redrill 3 holes, but I've seen online many people only had to redrill two. It's semi time consuming, just make sure you have the correct bits (we had wood bits :S )

As far as internals, IIRC H23 rods are the ones you want. I remember reading on cb7 that h23 rods are the same exact size. Don't quote me on that, go research... pistons, I did find some at one point but cannot remember where I did find them.

Highway driving, stick with an F22 tranny. The H22 has closer gears.

if you are gonna go forged internals dont waste your time on theat small ass turbo. 1st or second gen manifolds will work or you can get one made for the f22a1.

you can use h22 rods but i believe you'll also have to use the h22 crank and get custom pistons. h23 rods are the same as f22 rods so you can use those if you find them. i know race engineering has a few different pistons for the f22, check them out.

other then that everything else should be ok and the bottom end will eb done. One last thing. Which Trans do yall preffer the f series trans or the h series trans? manual of course but which one is more stout/optimal for highway driving?
personally i would go with a f tranny especially for highway driving. otherwise id go with a h23 tranny. h22 is too damn short for our motor. on the highway youll be at rediculous rpm plus since we redline at 6500 youll top out before you get to the end of the 1/4 track.

h23 is a good medium.

h23 tranny is just right imo. short, but not too short.
