Default ex transmission problem

so about 12,000 miles ago i replaced a clutch that had "massive" failure. now it is beginning to slip again. WTF could possibly be the problem now? the clutch has under 12,000 miles on it.

What do youmean by massive failure. Did the old clutch have oil on in? The rear main seal might be leaking causing the clutch disk to glaze really bad.

clutch disc, pressure plate and T/O bearing...all replaced.

massive failure=sprung clutch plate - one spring

now.....wait.

let me ask.....how do you drive?

slow like your name?

or like you stole it everyday of your life?

Clutch life depends dearly on your driving style too. You can burn out a clutch in less then 12k miles.

now we can go to

"who installed it?" Flywheel resurfacing counts on the life of a clutch. Most clutch kit companies will only warranty if you can show proof that the flywheel was resurfaced.
