well i was doing a swap in my friends car. And noticed i can not use the original screw for the driver side mount that is on the engine bay. It is stripped beyond belief. I tried screwing the bolt on. But it just wont fasten. Should i just rethreat it with a larger bolt screw?

 

just cut the nut out of the mount and replace it.

 

how you cut it out when it's part of the mount?

Now, ahem, how well it holds up to long term virbations and suchlike, and whether or not your engine i going to fall out on the ground at a most inconvenient time + place... I dunno.
