I'm not sure how the unit could not have been grounded. The part of the sening unit that the line connects to is metal right? The SS line that connect the unit to the block is metal right? The block is grounded already UNLESS for some reason you removed some of the ground wires that were there from the factory?? OR maybe I am not understanding what you mean??

Well I was able to solve the problem with the SS line heating up, it was because the oil pressure sending unit was not grounded. But now, I am still running into the problem of blowing fuses, not as much now, but when starting the car first thing in the morning, takes a few cranks to startup. If the car doesnt startup, the fuse blows. I have now upgraded to 80amp fuses, if those blow, I will go with the suggestion of putting the fuse right beside the battery. Thanks for the responses.
