Re: EG axles for EF with B16 swap?
There are no EFs in the USA. EFs come stock with B16s and have different suspensions, what we get are SOHC equipped EDs.
;) You can run most any B-series axles, just make sure the drivers side axle and the intermediate shaft are from the same series. The way it works in the USA, 90-93 Integra driver's axles only mate to 90-93 Integra intermediate shafts, and 94-01 driver's axle only mates to 94-01 intermediate shafts. In JDM land some of the early B16 cars - only the ones with the Y1 transmission - got a wierd extra long intermediate shaft and a short driver's axle. They look like 90-93 axles, but are a little off and sometimes don't fit right. Oh yes - fitting B-series engine and axles into an ED requires that you remove the dust rings for the wheel bearings on the inside of your spindles. It's always a pleasure to help Walter. :6 |
Re: EG axles for EF with B16 swap?
oh i see, i've never heard aobut ED civics really :-X.. well in spain there arent EFs with B16s stock, here there are EFs with SOHC too, with 90 and 130hp.
ok, so if i use both axle with intermediate shaft from EG6 right?. i say that because that's the easy parts i can get. integra here there are only Type-r (sucks yeah) and you know parts frmo that car are expensive..(at least here in spain). anyway i can buy integra axle from USA :8 Ok, great info, i will post when i get ED and do b16 swap on it. i hope soon ! :6 thx brother ;) |
