VAFC hack.

ok i am working with an OBD2 ecu now, i had uberdata P28 (basemap), but the adaptor harness was poorly built and the pins keep breaking & falling out, so i decided to build my own adaptor harness and for now i will run a GSR ecu on the vafc hack.

ok so the DAY i hook up the GSR ecu the car starts to give problems. IT REDLINES AT 5000 rpm.

before i never hooked up the knock sensor with both the 99 SI ecu AND the uberdata P28. The car ran fine with VTEC (apex-i VAFC) and no problems at all.

But now when i hook up the GSR ecu with the VAFC it redlines at 5k.

two mechanics told me the knock sensor will only stop VTEC crossover, and that it might be the VTEC oil pressure switch. so i checked that and it works fine, i even bypass the VTEC oil switch and it still redlines at 5k.

I was also told the temp sensor could be the problem by another honda tech on another forum.

I am completely confused, and i need some advise or suggetions.
