yeah somehow today my friends turbo del sol 1.6 vtec radiator got so hot it just warped and stopped holding water. We were driving down the highway and all the sudden the things temp gauge pegs the h on his temp gauge take it home yeah its deffinetly broken and hes broke with no job lol. So me and my dad start thinkin, we have a huge radiator thats the same height just double the lenght of the stock del sol radiator, It came from my lil bros 93 1.8 eclipse. It looks like it will fit so we take it all out and do some work to make the hoses fit and test fit it in the car it fits perfect. so we wire it up and mount it and turn it on and damn that thing rocks. With the one fan from the eclipse it sucks air so hard it was pullin through the intercooler 2. So we let it run for 30 mins to make sure are hose job worked it held up no leaks. We checked the engine temp gauge in the car and it had not rose above the c yet and thats in 100* texas weather. So we take it out for awhile to test it out and omg it ran so much stronger it felt amazing how much pull the thing had after an hour of drivin hard we take it back to my house the temp had not even risen but 3 bars over the c on the gauge. Then we checked the exhaust to see how hot it was running you could put your hand on the exhaust and it was warm but nowhere near what it normally is you could actually touch it. So all in all we gained some horses, it only took bout 2 hours to do and the car is runnin way cooler so it should help the engine last longer. Just thought id share. s.s.l but it its a really cheap easy mod that anyone can do.
