DPFI q's
i was wondering what fuel cut/ rev limiter is in a stock 89 dx crx. I just swapped the cluster so i have a tach now and it hits rev limiter at 5800. Could this be something wrong with the cluster or is it just the fact DPFI suck dick?

It's probably the rev limiter. I've got a 89 DX, but I don't think I've ever revved it that high.

stock tachs are notoriously shitty. i bury ming past 8 grand reving to 7400

i thought all CRX's had tachs, and i think DPFI is 5800rpm rev limit with redline at like 5500rpm. Though I just checked on ebay, and found a Civic LX, which has a factory tach and DPFI, it looks like 6500rpm still. So I'm not sure.

my DPFI 92 DX eg.. has the rev limit somewhere around 6800ish.

Converts to MPFI, better yet, Swap in a D16A6 and call it a day, make sure to get the proper ECU.
These things are a dima a dozen now, I dont know why people still use that DPFI ----. |
