Whacky idea, tried compression test? I've seen more D15B2's burn intake valves than I can think of. May explain some of the idling and spitting/sputtering problems.

Also, swap alternator or at very least take it out and have tested.

 

heres a better update than i like to say... he sold the ef sedan and picked up a eg sedan....

i told him he can no longer ride with me because he has a different year car than me now....but i can still smoke him with my b2/y7 with a 4 speed. he didnt believe me when i told him weight is a key factor when it comes down to it along with the power of the cars engine. now he wants me to start gathering a turbo kit together for him....
