Default dohc ZC OBD0

i have a wrecked 91-CRX with a d16z5 (dohcZC), the car/engine is obd0. i am now i search for a new car, but have not desided what to go for.
4gen civic, or 5gen civic?
as i understand the 4gen swap i easy, but what about the 5gen obd1 swap. and what about carb/dpfi/mpfi??

It's easier to swap it in a 5th gen EG.
Well only if you swap it into a Dxi those are 1.5 DPFI.
They have the same engine as the earlier 4th gen with DPFI.
Just do a DPFI->MPFI wiring conversion...you can read about it on the internet for the 4th gen.
The 5th gen EG in europe with DPFI has OBD0 ECU connectors and it's mostly OBD0 wiring....don't look at the colors while doing the MPFI conversion...just at the numbers of the pin in the diagram and count it at the connectors.

The carb version would be more work as they don't have much wiring(I would pass on a carb)....and the MPFI EG's are OBD1, you would need to use a OBD1 distributor....and you would have to try to make the OBD1 distributor fit on the ZC head.
The DPFI's are the easiest to do the swaps in and use the stock EG's mounts they bolt right up, and use the EG's gearbox, oh and make sure to use your CRX ECU you'll get a PA sensor error i think, but that is ok or try to get the external PA sensor from you CRX it's under the passanger dash somewhere...and the EF's are also easy...but make sure you get at least the 1.5 DPFI EF's the carbs etc 1.3 liter and I think the 1.4's also are no good. Too much work IMO.

Here is a pic of my friends EG that we did a ZC swap in(the same engine as yours D16Z5)...it's turboed now

Yeah the 4th gen 1.6 16v is MPFI...I have one myslef a black one...It has the D16A6 engine....good engine to start with though. PA sensor is a absolute pressure sensor...it's a barometer it measures the altitude where you're at.
Yes the car is running on Turboedit, he got lucky when he bought a 1.6 SOHC...it was from an american crx and he got the PM6 ecu and everythimg for 75 euro's. I have a PP4 ecu from a concerto...I chipped it and am going to use it right now. I already tested it and it works fine.

ok, thats sounds awsome.. i`ll just look for a 4th gen DPFI/MPFI or a 5th gen DPFI (DXi) then.. do you know if i can use a edm pm7 ecu with turboEDIT? i have read both yes and no.. the 4th gen have pm6 ecu`s right? so if i go for a 4th gen i don`t have to worry about the ecu? this will be a "homemadeturbo" project by the whay..

the Euro PM7 will work. There is e PM7 NG26 code now.
If you're looking for a EDM PM6 or PM7 to chip look for them in cars from '90-'92
If the ECU sayd that it was made after '89 june or juli then it's chippable...just take of the lid and look for a EPROM

Lol...If you look at it in front of you it looks like it was meant to be...like stock...it was a drop...no mod's nothing. except for the MPFI wiring we did before the swap.
It just dropped in using the EG mounts. Not all ZC's fit...the D16Z5 is one of them it's from '90-'92 the D16A9 I wouldn't really know about it, I haven't really taken a close look at the engine mount.
The D16Z5(ZC) uses the SOHC waterpump and a lot of their components.
