There's a big writeup from Brian G at HASport still archived on Hybrid. It covers this, as all chassis are not to an exact tolerance and an estimated 5% of ED chassis with ZC swap suffered this.

Toss an 88-89 Integra inner cup onto the 90-93 axle, problem solved. Well, not really... the ZC LSD is a soggy weak pile of Spiker-poo, expect it to die the first time you launch on it on slicks. If it were my personal car I'd run a D16 diff, hell do a ZC/Si hybrid box they're sweet.

Your build has got me inspired mr. davis. Worked on the welded d16a6 head last night and found the zc/si transmission in the shed aka 86 crx on the side of my shop.

I think most people don't bump CR enough with D16, and what CR they believe requires racegas is a hangup from the mechanical/vac advance distributor era where timing control was really a joke. I crunched the math on my engine again, after .25 mm over and decking/milling I am 12.7-12.8:1. Blundar built a 13.7:1 V20/VTEC out of cheap/free parts like RS Machines pistons and made 196 on ITR cams and generic boltons. This stuff can be pulled off but none of the status quo NA guys on HT can grasp it.

What's your opinion on cams for the A6, and who would you trust to do a grind for my Y5?

Well crower trashed my buddies so maybe bisi. The best cam grind I ever used was an old school bullfrog grind but now with the ability to really tune motors now Im really intrested to get some bisimoto stuff going. mY buddy had the biggest bylfrog/gude cam he ever did it was a special order deal. Car was violent but had a 76mm p29 piston bottom end/welded a6 head the works. Car laid down high 12's in street trim at 3000 ft elevation. Idle was another story but the car was running off stock injectors/chipped ecu with god knows what timing/fuel and alot of fuel pressure. idle was very poppy and not really streetable but damn did it sound sick.

I have an a6 block has well I got for damn near free needs to be bored over but the rest of the bottom end was solid. Maybe its time to throw a couple hundred bucks into doing another all motor sohc

Yup. I think a 160-170 whp D16 would make me giggle. I'm wondering if a D17 crank is worth the hassle, sure would create some midrange.

Not really sure never tried it but the car I was talking about was a blast and hardly was the peak of what it could do car never saw a dyno/wideband just plugs/cranking of the fpr and violent 9500 rpm wheezes.

Im 99 percent sure Im going to do another high comp a6 but this time with a bisi camshaft and some of my parts.

JD, I'll state this.

CRX 4.93 FD was $425 shipped to be two day FedEx which wasn't cheap!

What prices am I allowed to offer, dunno. SCCA racers who run the stickers get the best discount for a reason.

Oh yeah, Jeff is a KIWI, likes Hondata if you get my drift

I can attend the local Highland Sportscar Club auto-x events, which dovetail with many SCCA events.

I've attended 2/3rds of the hillclimbs this year.
